Updating Your Timezone
The bot uses your saved timezone preference to interpret the match times you enter. Times are stored in UTC and rendered for every viewer in their own local timezone, so it is important that your timezone is set correctly.
When it is set
Your timezone is set automatically the first time you use the Set Your Match Time button. The bot will prompt you to choose your timezone before proceeding to the date/time entry.
Once saved, the bot remembers your timezone for all future interactions across all servers where the bot is present.
Updating your timezone
You can change your timezone at any time using the Update Your Timezone button (the grey button on any lineup embed).
Step 1 — Select your region
A prompt appears asking you to select your geographic region. This filters the timezone list to options relevant to your area.
Available regions include:
- North America
- Europe
- Latin America
- Oceania
Step 2 — Select your timezone
After choosing a region, a second dropdown shows the available timezones for that region. Select the one that matches where you are.
Use the ← Back button if you need to go back and change your region.
Confirmation
Once selected, you will see a confirmation: "Your preferred timezone is now [timezone]. I will use this timezone when you provide match times."
This message disappears automatically after a few seconds.
How it affects match times
Any match time you enter going forward will be interpreted in your updated timezone. Previously entered times are not retroactively adjusted — they were saved based on the timezone that was active when you entered them.
If you entered a time with the wrong timezone, you can set your match time again after updating your timezone to correct it.
